The Role of PPC in Digital Marketing Strategy

My Geek Score: The first thing to know about PPC is that it isn’t a one-trick pony. It’s a mixture of advertising, content marketing, and link building.

PPC is usually used in the marketing funnel. The PPC company will do the analysis, create the ad, target your audience and pay you when they bring in a sale or if they get you more traffic to their site.
The ads are usually paid per thousand impressions (CPI) meaning that the advertiser pays you for every thousand impressions that their ad appears on your website, blog, or other digital media platform.
For example:
The website “smushingbytes.com” has an ad on it for its premium service which costs $4.95/month or $29 per year. The ads are placed by an online advertising agency known as Google AdWords (Google).
You can see from this example that there are three things happening:
1) The company has been paid to advertise its product/service as well as get more people interested in it through its advertorial content and social media marketing efforts such as Facebook and Twitter posts
2) The company is paying Google to place the advertisements on their website (the same way we all pay for Facebook clicks)
3) The advertisement costs $4.95 which means there is a profit for this PPC campaign of around $29 per year, assuming that the site gets 20% of visitors using any of the money spent on advertisements (which can be generous considering how many people visit our site).
This may seem like an unusual way to earn money but it’s not unusual at all in business; everyday companies promote products/services by placing advertisements on print newspapers and TV networks alike, with no end goal other than to make money for themselves through advertising revenues; this is known as PPC (Pay per click).

My Geek Score: Email marketing is a very effective way to promote your brand and services. The term “Email Marketing” comes from the old days, when it was not as popular as now. It’s still in use today because it is still effective, but some people are not aware of what it really means. Email marketing is a form of promotion that involves sending an email to the customer or the audience on behalf of a company or business, who may be unaware that they are receiving this communication.

How email marketing works? When we send an email to customers or an audience on behalf of a company, we are promoting our services or products through this communication. This is done by using different tactics and techniques such as using web pages, blogs, other social media sites, etc., to reach out to more customers and audiences through this medium. Nowadays, most people visit various websites daily which have thousands of online content available for them, but only a few people read them in due time.

To make sure that your customers are aware of your product/service and you can easily reach them directly through email marketing is the primary purpose behind pursuing this marketer or brand specialist's career as well as professional practice. This is why there has been an increase in the number of people who are choosing to pursue their careers in this field including entrepreneurs, professionals, and corporates. There are many ways for you to make use of email marketing such as promoting products/services at different places on various social media websites like Facebook etc., promoting products/services at specific sales events such as trade shows, etc.

My Geek Score: The scope of digital marketing is on the rise. The space has expanded exponentially in the last few years. We have seen new industries and sectors emerge from the technology-driven world which is completely different from what we’ve been living with before. As a result, organizations have started looking for ways to increase their reach and profits through digital marketing.

The scope of digital marketing has never been as diverse and broad as it is today. Even though you might be a telco or a local government body, if you’re looking to improve your reach and garner more cash, then consider getting into digital marketing. It’s definitely an investment worth thinking about.

Today, almost every industry except education and banking can be covered by digital marketing — no matter how small your budget might be! But that doesn’t mean that everyone wants to dip into this lucrative market right away — especially if they think that it will just become a waste of time.
